We are Christina & John Graff and Guardian Boerboels is our family run Boerboel breeding program… We’re located in the GREAT Pacific Northwest in Lake Stevens, Washington, about an hour north of Seattle, on 3 acers. My husband and I have 3 kids Janie, Johnathan and Deja and we have 2 small dogs Wrex & Taz, along with our 8 Boerboels. We run and own a small auto detailing company (1st Class Mobile Detail) and I also work from home as a Business Services Representative in medical billing & coding, as well as we are proud and passionate Boerboel breeders.

Here at Guardian Boerboels we are dedicated to upholding the history, standards, and bloodlines that make the Boerboel one of the most outstanding rare breeds in the world. As the popularity of the breed grows throughout North America it is necessary to assure that the Boerboel does not deviate from its historical bloodlines and standards. We at Guardian Boerboels are focused on producing quality Boerboels that have excellent temperaments, excellent health, and great confirmation.

Boerboels are loyal, intelligent guardians, always aiming to please their human family. We feel it’s their amazing temperament that really sets the breed apart!

We’re a family of professional and reputable Boerboel Breeders and we’re located in Washington State. All our puppies are from healthy and genetically tested parents and come with a genetic health guarantee. Our puppies are some of the best Boerboels you’re going to find in this country. We are very confident in the puppies we produce in regard to health and temperament.

We don’t take shortcuts, and we do it because we LOVE what we do and because we find joy in providing families with amazing dogs that change lives. It’s also fun and rewarding for us to hear the stories we receive from our families about how much they LOVE their Guardian Boerboel.

Guardian Boerboels is not a ‘Facility’ or a ‘Kennel’… We’re a Family! Our Boerboels and puppies are raised as part of our family. We raise our puppies in our home where they are watched 24/7 for the first 4 weeks of life, then they’re able to run & play in their indoor play area, as well as around the house and/or outside depending on weather. When you acquire a pup from us you become a part of our Guardian Family, and we provide lifetime support to all our Guardian Family members! Our puppies will ALWAYS have a home with us. These enormous remarkable dogs are not for everyone so PLEASE research thoroughly, and please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have about the breed.

Our Boerboels come in amazing colors & size! But that’s not even the best thing about them! The temperament of the Boerboel is unbeatable! It’s a wonderful mix of a working dog and a companion dog that makes for a wonderful and loyal family dog. Families Love our Boerboels!  These dogs will stop traffic and garnish heaps of attention in public. So, if you don’t like strangers coming up to ask about your beautiful and unique dog… this is not the breed for you.

I have learned over the years that no matter how experienced a Dog breeder is, they can never claim to “know it all”.  It’s totally impossible. Each dog, each puppy, pregnancy, birth and litter is a unique and new experience, and I still learn something new with every new litter.

These amazing Boerboels have brought our family closer together and have brought nothing but JOY and LOVE into our LIVES. Our program is called “Guardian Boerboels” and it has been so much fun not to mention extremely rewarding!!

There is nothing more rewarding then seeing the dogs you’ve had a part in raising, change lives for the better. So, when people ask me “how do you say goodbye to your puppies”? While of course it’s not always easy to say goodbye, but it’s so rewarding that it makes it all worth it in the end.

At the end of the day, we’re not putting puppies on the ground, we’re putting relationships into the world. We will hug our puppy’s goodbye with a tear in our eye and tell them to go out and change the world. And they will.

The Boerboel is a large dog that is strong, robust, confident and muscular with a distinctive, blocky head. Despite its size, it is the most agile of the mastiff-type breeds. The word Boerboel means ‘Farm Dog’ and it serves as a capable working dog as well as a loyal companion and guardian.

The Boerboel should be powerfully built and muscular and should also be agile and dynamic in movement. The dog should not be neither long-limbed nor squat but have a skeletal and muscular structure that allows for maximum degree of power and agility.

From past history of the Boerboel, the modern dog draws its character of remarkable courage, high intelligence, and tenacity. The Boerboel is also reliable, obedient and has a strong watchdog instinct. This coupled with its affection for its friends, and children in particular, its off-duty quietness and trustworthy stability, makes it a foremost all-purpose dog. The Boerboel has a quick and intelligent mind and is easily trained. They are outgoing and show a tremendous willingness to please. They make an excellent family dog as well as a trustworthy hunting companion and guardian.
