About the Puppy Placement & Waiting List Process
**MUST READ BEFORE PLACING A DEPOSIT**
Before you place a deposit on a puppy, here is a little bit of information you need to know.
If you decide to adopt a puppy from Guardian Boerboels, this is for you:
By this time, I hope you have read through my website.
For those who are truly interested in bringing one of our wonderful puppies into their home, we offer a waiting list. Since we do not force our dogs to breed, we can only PLAN litters and cannot guarantee a litter’s arrival.
Sadly, we cannot guarantee what size a litter will be. Even though we often do ultrasounds, sometimes a puppy is hiding or there are complications at birth. As a result, at times, a person may have to wait until the following litter. This has never been an issue since those on the list are interested in our dogs due to quality, not quantity.
Please read through my DEPOSIT AGREEMENT & PURCHASE AGREEMENT. The Purchase Agreement is the contract that you will be signing at pickup or prior! So, take your time and read through all the details.
Currently, our waiting list is quite long. We will not shut down our waiting list. However, there are too many mitigating factors to guarantee when a puppy will be available. All we can do is promise to contact you when your name comes up on the list and a puppy is available. The best way to keep up with our prospective litters is our website or by, “liking” and “following” our Facebook & Instagram pages. We try to do our best to make sure that each family on the waiting list gets the puppy they are hoping for while maintaining the quality and care of our puppies and dogs. In turn, sometimes, it may require some patience.
1.) Please fill out our screening form to be able to place a deposit and be placed on our early deposits waiting list. Your “Waiting List” deposit guarantees sex only, not color or size.
2.) Once pregnancy is confirmed, we will contact ALL people on our early deposits waiting list. We ask that you keep an eye on our website, as well as our Facebook and Instagram pages for current most up to date information.
3.) Everyone on our waiting list will have 1 week to let us know if they would like to COMMIT their deposit to the list, for the female confirmed pregnant.
4.) After that week, I will make up the waiting list, for that female, putting the deposits in order by the date they were received…
IF YOU COMMIT YOUR DEPOSIT TO A LITTER, AND THE COLOR/SEX PUPPY YOU WANT IS BORN, BUT YOU CANNOT OR DO NOT WANT IT, YOU WILL LOSE YOUR ORIGANAL DEPOSIT DATE AND YOUR NEW DEPOSIT DATE WILL BE FOR THE DATE THE LITTER IS BORN.
IF THE COLOR/SEX PUPPY YOU WANT IS NOT BORN THEN YOU WILL NOT LOSE YOUR DEPOSIT DATE AND YOU WILL BE PUT BACK ON OUR EARLY DEPOSITS WAITING LIST WITH YOUR ORIGINAL DEPOSIT DATE.
5.) Once the litter arrives I will send out an update to the people on the waiting list for that litter, letting you know how many puppies are born and how many of each sex and color are born…. Again, we ask that you keep an eye on our website, as well as our Facebook and Instagram pages for current most up to date information.
6.) At this point if you would like one of the puppies born you will COMMIT your deposit to a puppy from that litter, if you do not like any of the puppies born you will be placed back on the early deposits waiting list, to be notified about future confirmed litters. You may choose to have it transferred to a different or upcoming litter. Please note that if any upcoming litter has previous deposits, those previous deposit will have priority.
ONCE A DEPOSIT HAS BEEN COMMITTED TO A PUPPY, IT WILL BE LOST OR PARTIALLY LOST, IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO GET YOUR PUPPY!!!!!
7.) After this the litter will be opened up to people not on our early deposits waiting list.
If you would like the ‘pick of the litter’ option, if one is available just let me know and I will put that with your name on our deposits list.
The selection process will happen at 6 weeks old for same color or sex puppies… if only one color or sex pup is born it can be committed to sooner 🙂
You are responsible for making sure you are on my lists! I WILL SEND CONFORMATION AFTER RECEIVING ANY MONEY AND/OR CONFIRMING PLACEMENT ON A RESERVATION LIST. So always make sure you get this conformation email/text from me after sending deposits, or being placed on a list, or I may not have gotten your message.
If you want to be placed on a reservation list, after confirmed pregnancy, but missed the one week window, you may still be added but it will be to the bottom of the list… I WILL KEEP MY WEBSITE UP-TO-DATE CONFIRMED BREEDINGS, PREGNANCIES AND LITTERS. So if you don’t get an update please contact me ASAP!
Please Note: We provide those on our wait list with our best estimate of when we will have a puppy for them, however, please understand that many factors can change this estimate including whether a breeding takes and overall litter sizes. There are no guarantees that a particular future litter will happen as there are a lot of variables and sometimes a litter or pups are lost. Also, I can’t predict how quickly you will move up on the list as the girls don’t let me in on how many pups they are going have. This is a general waiting list which is worked in the order the applications/deposits were received.
Breeding pairings are subjected to change at anytime without notice.
Everyone will be treated equally, fairly and honestly!! No preferential treatment given!! Your understanding is appreciated.

Our Early Deposits List Lasts Forever
We do understand that sometimes life works out differently than we imagine, and if you find that you will be unable to adopt your new puppy in the time frame you had previously thought that is ok, as our deposits are good forever as long as you have not committed your deposit to a puppy that has already been born, you can take as long as you like 🙂 … if you will need much more time than that (like years) then that is fine as well, just let me know and I will put your deposit on hold until you are ready for your new addition, no matter how long it takes 🙂 Please note that if any upcoming litter has previous deposits, those previous deposit will have priority.

About Placement
How my placement program works…
At birth, once we know how many puppies are born and of what sex and color each are, I will contact all the people who have deposits with that litter, in the order that the deposit were received, confirming that you would like a puppy from this litter.
The actual selection process starts at 6 weeks of age, 8 weeks in some special cases….once the puppies’ personalities, looks, and energy levels have begun to come in…..
Once these have been determined I will send out information on each puppy about its personality, dominance level and energy traits, and I will often offer my advice on which puppy is best suited to your home, or if one is not suited for your home and why…
Then you will be able to pick your puppy in the order of your received deposit…
Once it’s your turn to pick, you can choose an available puppy OR decide to skip your turn for that litter and wait for a subsequent litter. Please note that if any upcoming litter has previous deposits, those previous deposit will have priority.
We will be contacting you (usually via text) when your turn is getting close and if you choose to pass we will then move onto the next person(s). It is imperative that you respond within 4 hours after being notified of an available puppy of your interest. Otherwise, we will have to keep moving down our list. We ask that you keep an eye on our website as well as our Facebook and Instagram pages for current and upcoming litters. If you don’t respond to our text and/or email notification of currently available puppies then we assume you will want to wait. In such a case we will hold your spot on the Reservation List and continue moving down the list to others waiting on their turn.
Guardian Boerboels retains the rights to first pick from ALL of our litters, but we don’t always keep one…
